A villain change in 'Maatraan'!

There has been a change in the villain of 'Maatraan'! Prakash Raj, Indian cinema's favourite villain has been  dropped out of the film and Sachin Khedekar has been roped in to replace him!

"Prakash Raj committed very few days for Maatraan as he was busy shuttling between various projects. Not only that, whenever he came to the sets, the team had to spend too much time on his make up and other issues which is not even required", says a little birdie close to the  'Maatraan' team.

And hence he was dropped out of the project, and Sachin Khedekar whom we saw as Amala Paul's father in much-acclaimed 'Deiva Thirumagal' will play 'Maatraan's baddie.

'Maatraan' featuring Surya and Kajal Aggarwal in the lead roles is a KV Anand offering and the film is taking shape at a brisk pace. It is said that audience will get to see a younger Surya through this film and he might also be seen in multiple avatars.

7am Arivu Release Date Official Confirmation Today

7am Arivu producer Udayanidhi Stalin of Red Giant Movies has said that he will make an official announcement today about Surya's 7am Arivu's audio launch and release date.

Earlier Udayanidhi Stalin has tweeted in his Twitter account saying that – "7aam Arivu will be a Red Giant release for this Diwali, on October 26! The satellite rights have been sold to Sun TV".

7am Arivu Audio launch is expected to take place on September 22 while the movie will be released for this Diwali. 7am Arivu music has been composed by Harris Jayaraj and it has six songs including a Chinese track, sung by Chinese singer Hau. Lyrics for the movie has been penned by Madhan Karky. The audio rights of 7am Arivu were bagged by Sony Music for a whopping amount.

7am Arivu directed by A.R Murugadoss features Surya and Shruti Haasan in lead roles and it will be the debut vehicle for Shruti Haasan in Kollywood.

7am arivu audio will be launched in a grand manner in Chennai on the 22nd of September. The music by Harris Jayaraj, is said to be a treat, both musically and visually. 

But all eyes are on the hero of the film - Surya - who initially planned to perform all the stunts he learnt while shooting for 7am Arivu (he plays a circus artist in one segment of the film) live at the audio launch. But that doesn't look like happening now. "Yes, that was on the cards but it's unlikely that it'll happen now," adds the source, Surya is actively shooting for K V Anand's Maatran right now and would need a lot of practise to actually perform some of the circus tricks that he learnt several months ago. 

In fact, the actor who shot in a circus in Coimbatore for his sequences - had successfully walked on the trapeze and juggled with almost six balls back then. He also worked hard and learnt to walk on his hands, a feat that's commonly done by circus folk! But now, considering that he shot for his sequences as a monk (the other role he plays in the film) in China after the circus scenes and is now busy with Maatran, performing the tricks he learnt live is highly unlikely.
